This video from Worldwide Laser www.wlsc.com 480.892.8566 option 5 or info@wlsc.com demonstrates the laser marking station and vision station automation in acton The parts are moved on the vibratory track and stopped by an arm or dam that comes into place, when the part reaches the laser marking_vision verification station — a sensor turns off the vibratory track and bowl and fires the laser which in this case is marking the part from the back side [laser under the part shooting up toward the part and marking the back side] a vision station then reads the bar code to verify readability if the vision system test fails the part an actuator is activated and the part is ejected into a rejected parts bin [this is demonstrated with the part being ejected toward the top of the screen and into a rejected parts bin [not shown on video] The actuator raising the dam to stop the parts and dropping after completed laser marking to allow the completed part to move on then raising again to stop the next part is a monitored I/O point and along with rejected parts, laser firing, laser complete, vision system reading which are also system monitored I/O can be reported to the human machine interface screen so status of system operation can be continuously monitored and reported.
