Since taking office just a few weeks ago, I have been briefing myself in some detail on all aspects of the National Children’s Hospital project. I want to satisfy myself that we will get the best possible clinical outcome for children within the resources available to us. I also want to make sure we can afford what is proposed. I regret that John Gallagher has decided to resign as Chair of the NPH Development Board. I respect his decision and his motives, which are entirely honourable.
